As most of you know, for about three months I have been working on becoming a runner. I have worked up to running 6 miles this Wednesday, and still felt pretty good afterwards. (my feet are still a bit bruised---but on the whole I'm amazed that my body is conditioned to do this. Now, before any of you start thinking I think I'm some sort of awesome running chick....Take a look at these pictures..... What do you notice?

*I have the whitest legs on the planet--next to my mom.
*I always close my eyes when a picture is taken. (Do you think I blink longer than the average person. How come this always happens?)
* Last but not least.....I'm plagued with the floppy hand when I jog! My sisters know what hand I'm talking about. We used to mock it when we were younger. The funny thing is. I thought I had fixed it.
When we took pictures at the Brunswick mile--a few weeks ago I noticed my dorky left hand in some of the pictures. So to cure my ugly runners syndrome I am carrying a small nut shell-thing (ping pong size) in my left hand so I can keep a fist while I run. YIKES it didn't work. My right hand is fairly normal, except maybe the thumbs up sign I give everyone as jog by. It goes back and forth in a forward and back motion. While my left hand does this rowing/swimming the breast stroke type motion. So for the next couple week before the team marathon I will be working on getting rid of my FUNNY RUN.

One of my major projects right now is getting ready fort the 6.8 miles I have to run in the Team Relay- in the Baltimore marathon. Here are some recent shots from the Brunswick mile race. Emma, Kristyn, and Audrey, are three lovely and FAST Allgaiers. I'm not a pretty runner--but I've made my shuffle turn into a jog! Look at the air under my feet as I come for the finish line! More pictures on our website! Mile time 9:02!
