Sam is having a great week. Here are some pictures from today. Steven had the day off to spend with him. Archery is a favorite part of everyones day. Sam was so proud that his dad got 5/5 bullseyes! One funny thing; it started to rain when they were whittling their soap sticks! Sam is at the BB range with his new friend Derek.

My landscaping Projects
Last fall we got the flower beds ready to plant. We shoveled out a lot of grass--Steven had to do most of that part. We mulched, transplanted bushes, planted a couple of trees, and hauled a lot of rocks! We found lots of rocks with quartz crystals. (Very exciting for the Force blood in all of us.) This Spring we got to plant flowers, and make little paths. The easy part. ---This picture, is from the spring.
Kick-a-Thon Project
I'm trying to help St. Jude's hospital earn some $ by entering the Kick -a- Thon. My Tae kwon do Master is Having a big Fundraising event on Aug. 22nd where ticket proceeds all go toward St. Jude Hospital. My little bit of help is to kick as many kicks as I can in one minute. (pretty easy actually.) I will probably do just a simple front kicks.
I'm excited because some of the great people from Steven's work have pledged some $ and i'm up to $60.

Cub Scout Camp Project
As the Day camp coordinator, I am so happy this week is here. All of my coordinating is done...now we just hope the Cubs have a great week!
Marathon Relay--Baltimore
I am a team captain for 4 girls in our ward who are going to run the Baltimore marathon as a relay team. I have allready started training, and can now run two miles at a time. I did one run of three miles last week, and will try one run of 4 miles this week. I need to work up to 7 miles of running. (Running I realize is a relative term. What I do is more like a steady shuffle, or slow jog!)
Our team name: Pioneer Children Sang as they Walked...
I just jogged 4.2 miles! Only one short stop for gatorade. (NO Walking!) Wow! I can't believe I can actually do that! If you want to see the map I ran/jogged here is the link. It shows my pace and everything.
